I had a great deal of fun translating the Greek and Roman gods from their thrones on Mount Olympus into the starry reaches of outer space. I borrowed rather profligately, not limiting myself to major deities such as Mercury and Zeus, but expanding to include the cupbearer of the Olympians and the Graces.
